In Science adopts a constructivist-inquiry approach. Concepts are developed step by step as students build upon past knowledge in a systematic manner.
Dedicated efforts have been made to ensure the content is based on sound pedagogical principles. The necessary scientific skills, processes, ethics and attitudes are infused throughout the materials.
The textbook’s presentation style encourages active learning, self-reflection and awareness of one’s own thinking (metacognition). Students are supported with generous doses of scaffolding to learn concepts and acquire higher-order thinking skills.
